Why does eCSWare keep multiple versions of the same package? PDF Print E-mail

Multiple versions of the same software package are kept for archival purposes. It is not uncommon that a newer version of a software package introduces new bugs that may cause unexpected problems and it's advisable to rollback to an older version. Also, one software package may depend on a specific version of another package. This is often the case when it comes to common/shared libraries.
